The Island’s first travel guide devoted to touring the province by motorcycle will be released this Saturday at Motorcycle Show 2009 to be held at the Charlottetown Civic Centre April 18-19.  Motorcycle Touring in Prince Edward Island.....Your Guide to Tip to Tip Adventure, is written and designed by yours truly, Julie V. Watson, with contributions of both editorial and photography by John C. Watson and Debbie Gamble-Arsenault.

We are trying something new with this guidebook. It will be offered for sale through a web storefront as either a printed book or as a downloadable PDF file. The book which was written, designed and taken to the ready-to-print stage right here in PEI will be marketed, both at home and internationally through electronic media.

We  love the fact that people can download it into their own computer.  They can read and enjoy it, then print the pages they want.  If they want a copy to travel with they can print it in black and white or full colour.  Of course they don’t get the glossy covers and coil bound book, but it’s a great inexpensive option.

Motorcycle Touring in Prince Edward Island is a true Island project featuring photography by John Watson, who got his first training at Holland College.  

Motorcycle enthusiasts featured in the book include Liam and Kim Dolan of Olde Dublin Pub and Claddagh Oyster House, and Tom Nichols of Vacationland.  Several tours include lighthouses, the Hillsborough River and the three regions of the province.
